ATLANTA – Dec 5, 2017 – Home Inspection Training Institute Today (Hit-it) owner Steve Sheldon announces a new software called Hit-it PRO, which home inspectors can use on-site to generate home inspection reports. Sheldon, who has performed more than 3,000 home inspections and teaches all the Hit-it courses, has implemented several key industry changes with this software.
Hit-it PRO generates easy-to-understand reports. Avoiding industry jargon, the report quickly focuses on what the client needs to know. An initial summary outlines safety issues, concerns, repairs, improvements, and what should be monitored. The report that follows is broken down by category, including structure, roofing, exterior, electrical, heating, cooling, plumbing, interior, fireplace or wood burning stove. The report includes photos for further clarity.
The software itself has been designed to be easy to use, even for new home inspectors. There is a checklist by category with pre-written comments the home inspector can choose from, leaving space for the specifics (i.e. left side or upper corner). While currently a computer-based software, Hit-it PRO should be mobile friendly within the next 60 to 90 days.
Hit-it PRO will have a $25 registration fee, then cost $19.95 per month. There is no long-term contract, so home inspectors can work with Hit-it PRO without being married to the software long-term.

Sheldon’s Home Inspection Training Institute, Hit-it, hosts in-person home inspection training courses in West Palm Beach, Tampa, and Atlanta, serving soon-to-be home inspectors throughout the Southeast. The Institute will now work with the Hit-it PRO software.
